Update Log #44 (Christmas Event, FREE FAIL-SAFE TICKET, Undying Vengeance Group Changes & More!)

Greetings Exorians,

Its time for another update log! This time we'll bring you the long awaited Christmas event, a free and guaranteed way to obtain fail-safe tickets (temporary), and some more general changes. 

On the last update log, we mentioned some of our plans going in to 2024. Here's a small list we're planning on working on for the next year (and this month!)

  - Forbidden Temple Rift Dungeon (Magic spell enhancers, New BiS accessories, New BiS Equipment, New feast and onyx gem tree)
  - Runelite integration
  - Combat achievements with great item and player benefit rewards.
  - 120 slayer (new monsters, private multi-instanced dungeons)
  - Danzig hunting grounds expansion (low to high tier, multi bosses, monsters)
  - Pet transmogrifier

Of course, there will be a lot more updates in between with some different content and changes. However those are the main points for the upcoming year. Note that they're subject to change, and most of the time it's an on-going progress.

+ Christmas 2023 Event

Finally! Its time for the Christmas event. The event is a good way for to earn some in-game money for all types of players. The event consists of a variety of content happening around Exora. You can visit the Santa's Dungeon which is the main area to earn christmas tokens. There are lots of world events happening throughout the day as well! We've also introduced a new skill world event (including world boss) where you'll have to cut a christmas  for christmas tokens.

We've also added a way to obtain guaranteed fail-safe tickets from the Christmas event. Learn more down below!

End date: 20th of January, 2024

  + Santa's Quest
To start with the Christmas event, you'll first have to complete Santa's quest. Help Santa defeat Fake Santa's disciples and save Christmas. In order to start the quest meet Santa in Santa's Dungeon. You can enter it via the global teleports or using the command ::xmas. Completing Santa's quest will allow you to receive drops and Christmas tokens from the monsters in the dungeon. You'll also receive a Christmas Mystery box, and a Reindeer locator which will come in handy later! Note: This quest can only be completed once per day per IP.

  + Christmas Fail-safe Tickets
We're testing out a new event which guarantees players to obtain free fail-safe tickets by doing tasks. By completing daily tasks, you'll receive a part of a fail-safe ticket. You can obtain 6 parts a day. After collecting 84 parts, you can combine it in to a full christmas fail-safe ticket. Christmas fail-safe tickets act as a weakened fail-safe ticket. If you collect a total of 2 tickets, you can then combine them in to superior christmas fail-safe. 

The tickets and parts can't be sold, traded, dropped or lost on death. Only way to get rid of them is by destroying it.

Note: New daily task rewards will become available on next daily reset after update.

How to obtain: Complete daily tasks. Each task rewards you with 1 part, and 1k christmas tokens.

  + Christmas Sunfreet
The Christmas Sunfreet World Boss is back! The events tab shows when he will spawn. He will drop lots of Christmas goodies and general World Boss drops, and of course World Boss essence. He will spew out snowballs instead of flames! So be aware. To teleport to him use the command ::freet

  + Christmas Present
The Christmas Present is a World Boss that will spawn every few hours. Defeat the Present and it will burst out with Christmas candies! It also contains Christmas goodies and general World Boss loot. At 50% HP the Present will be invincible and spawn in snow imps, defeat them and continue attacking the Present. At 25% HP the Present will be invincible and spawn in Yeti's, defeat them and kill the Present . The Present appears in the Santa's Dungeon. Use command ::present to get faster access when it spawns.

  + Christmas Tree Ent
A new skilling world boss! It will only be available during the christmas event. You can only attack it with skilling weaponry and pets. It may also be spawned with the world boss token. To teleport to the Christmas tree ent use the command ::ent or teleport via the events tab.

  + Christmas Tree
A new way to earn christmas tokens via skilling! The christmas tree spawns every few hours, like the elemental star you have to cut it down to receive its resources. The tree can only be cut down via a hatchet. When cutting it you'll receive christmas baubles which can be chiseled in to christmas tokens. You also have a low chance of receiving elemental dusts while cutting it.

You can teleport to the christmas tree via the command ::tree

+ Santa's Reindeer
Once you complete Santa's Quest you'll receive a reindeer locator. This is an important item to help you locate the Reindeer. Santa needs his reindeer back, so all you have to do is find the reindeer and shoo it away to Santa! The first 6 players that find the reindeer will receive its rewards.

When you find the reindeer, it will also give you temporary character benefits for 30 minutes. They are as follows:
  - 1% increased drop rate
  - 25% increased XP rate

Using the reindeer locator will give you hints about where it is located, the first hint is very vague, the longer it takes to find it the easier the hints become. The reindeer will appear every 1 hour.

+ Magical Snowfall
While killing monsters there's a low chance to receive temporary character benefits. You'll roll either the increased drop rate or XP rate. They're the same as the reindeer benefits, so the reindeer and snowfall boosts will not stack. However if you happen to get another magical snowfall, while  your timer is still active it will refresh your timer.

  + Christmas Tokens
After completing Santa's Quest monsters in Santa's Dungeon will now always drop Christmas tokens. These monsters will drop anywhere between 50-125 per kill depending on the monster, however this amount can be enhanced with Christmas trinkets. You will now also be able to receive Christmas tokens from general gameplay such as; Tasks Scrolls, Clue Scrolls, Dailies, completing slayer tasks and skill tasks. Tokens can be spent in Santa Claus' shop. He stands at home, patiently awaiting Exorians.

+ Christmas Zone Rewards
In the Santa dungeon you'll now be able to progress through zone rewards! You'll be able to obtain a bunch of Christmas soulcages, lots of mystery boxes, snowman shoulder pets, weaponry and a lot more. This is a way for players to grind a good amount of rewards without RNG!

 + Christmas Emblems
Emblems are a way for players to get more Christmas tokens while grinding out in Santa's dungeon. They have a chance to drop from monsters in the area, and will only drop once Santa's Quest has been completed. Emblems can be cut with chisels to turn in to Christmas tokens. You will be notified by a game message that an emblem has dropped. 

  + Ancient Santa Hat
     - When broken with a chisel gain 2500-3500 Christmas Tokens.
  + Blessed Bauble
     - When broken with a chisel gain 2000-2500 Christmas Tokens.
  + Forgotten Relic
     - When broken with a chisel gain 1500-2000 Christmas Tokens.
  + Pure Holy Leaf
     - When broken with a chisel gain 1000-1500 Christmas Tokens.
  + Broken Hilt
     - When broken with a chisel gain 500-1000 Christmas Tokens.

 + Christmas Adventurer's Log

Most players don't even know adventurer's log exist. Just a reminder to check the log, and claim any rewards you may have missed. We've added a new book called Santa's Book. This will only be in the log until the event has ended. Meanwhile, you can complete Christmas tasks to receive Christmas rewards. They're fairly easy, and you have a total of 6 tasks to complete for some goodies.

If you don't know where it is simply go to Quest Tab > click on "Adventurer's Log"

  + Christmas Rewards
I know you've been waiting for this! With the new event, comes new equipment and items to forge and obtain! As previously mentioned we've focused a bunch of new to mid tier players. We've added an extra tier of shoulder pet, and they can be upgraded at the titan forge at a 100% success chance.

The following items have been reintroduced: Golden scoria weaponry, and all past golden event pets (Credit shop, World bosses)

  + Christmas Consumables
Obtainable from the Christmas Mystery box, Santa Claus' shop, World Bosses and the credit shop.
    + Gingerbread Man
       - Allows you to feed a pet without the specific food required.
    + Choco Ball
       - Acts as an overload. Consumes 1 sip and disappears after the first.
    + Warm Chocolate Drink
       - Acts as an aggression potion. Consumes 1 sip and disappears after the first.
    + Christmas Cookie
       - Increases experience gained by +10% for 5 minutes.
    + Candy Cane
       - Increases Christmas token gained by +10% for 5 minutes.
    + Chocolate Yule
       - Increases drop rate by +0.1% for 5 minutes.

       - Defeat 100 monsters in Santa's dungeon, and receive a reward from their drop table. This is a beginner tier soulcage.

       - Allows you to transform in to a snow imp when equipped. Note: Actions may be limited while in transformation.
    + Ring of Yeti
       - Allows you to transform in to a Yeti when equipped.

+ Undying Vengeance Group Changes
    - Adjusted superior and regular minion HP for duo parties and up.
    - Reduced vengeful cannon HP for squad parties. (3+)
    - Reduced the wipeout percentage for 4 player parties (60>70)
    - Reduced amount of vengeful healing for duo+ (500, 750, 1000 > 250, 500, 750)

+ Auto Consumer
    - Hearts can now be used in the auto consumer.

+ Zone Rewards
   - Added more dravonic soulcages to the zone reward Dravonic Cave list.
   - Significantly reduced number of killcount required for dravonic zone rewards
   - Added more wildwood soulcages to the zone reward Wildwood dungeon list.
   - Significantly reduced number of killcount required for wildwood dungeon zone rewards.

+ Skill Pets
  - World boss skill pets XP increased from 10% base to 12.5%
  - Golden world boss skill pets XP increased from 17.5% to 20% base.

+ Changes
    - Lowered Exorian Nightmare respawn timer.
    - Made some items always display tooltip. Also updated some item descriptions.
    - Significantly buffed wildwood dungeon equipment, accessory drop rate.
    - Lowered Faceless world event lobby timer to 1 minute.
