Its time for another update! This one is packed with lots of new content, changes and additions! As always thank you all for supporting exora, we really appreciate it. Keep the feedback and suggestions coming!

Now let's get to the update!

+ Halloween Event 2023
Finally! Its time for the Halloween event. The event is a good way for to earn some in-game money for all types of players. The event consists of a variety of content happening around Exora. You can visit the Nightmare zone which is the main area to earn halloween tokens. There are lots of world events happening throughout the day as well! We've also introduced a new skill world event (including world boss) where you'll have to cut a bloody tree for halloween tokens.

Now let's go through each Halloween event and explain them!

Ends in: Mid to late November

  + Maggie's Quest
You must first start with Maggie's Quest in order to start receiving Halloween tokens from monsters in the nightmare dungeon. Halloween tokens can be used to purchase from Brother Jack's shop. Maggie will ask you to defeat monsters in the nightmare dungeon. Once you've killed the monsters, return back to Maggie to complete your quest. Completing the quest will grant you a Halloween mystery box, and the ability to receive drops from monsters in the nightmare dungeon. This quest is a repeatable quest, you'll be able to take this quest once every day for a halloween mystery box. (Note: You'll only have to complete the quest once in order to receive drops)

To go to Maggie simply use the command ::halloween/::hween or use global teleports > general > Nightmare.

  + General Jack
Only available for a limited time. Jack has a respawn rate of 3 hours, and is able to be spawned in via the world boss token. He has interesting mechanics, such as spawning a bunch of nightmare monsters at 50% HP, after the monsters have been killed Jack will do a trick-or-treat mechanic leaving the floor with lovely halloween candies and cakes. Those can be consumed for extra player benefits. To fight General Jack use the command ::genjack

  + Haunted Spider
Another world boss you'll be able to defeat! The haunted spider will spawn every few hours. It attacks with range spells, and isn't too hard to kill. It spawns right in the middle of the Nightmare dungeon. Use the command ::spider to teleport to it. When the spider dies it sends halloween candies to the floor.

  + Nightmare Kyatt
A new skilling world boss! It will only be available during the halloween event. You can only attack it with skilling weaponry and pets. It may also be spawned with the world boss token. To teleport to the Nightmare kyatt use the command ::kyatt or teleport via the events tab.

  + Bloody Tree
A new way to earn halloween tokens via skilling! The bloody tree spawns every few hours, like the elemental star you have to cut it down to receive its resources. The tree can only be cut down via a hatchet. When cutting it you'll receive bloody branches which can be chiseled in to halloween tokens. You also have a low chance of receiving elemental dusts while cutting it.

You can teleport to the bloody tree via the command ::tree

 

+ Pumpkin Hunt
Once you complete the Maggie's Quest you'll receive a pumpkin locator. This is an important item to help you locate the Pumpkin. In order to find the Pumpkin use your locator. At first, the locator will give out very vague hints, every 15 minutes the hints get increasingly easier and eventually if it hasn't been caught it will straight out tell you where it is. Only the first 5 players are able to receive its rewards and benefits, so be quick!

When you find the Pumpkin, simply click it to catch it. You'll be rewarded with items, coins and a 30 minute temporary character benefit. Which gives the following:
 - +1% increased drop rate
 - +25% increased XP rate

The Pumpkin will appear every hour. To find out when it spawns simply head over to your events tab!

+ Pumpkin Rain
While killing monsters (even outside of event) there's a low chance to receive temporary character benefits. You'll roll either the increased drop rate or XP rate. They're the same as the pumpkin hunt benefits, so these 2 benefits will not stack. However if you happen to get another buff while your timer is still active it will refresh it.

  + Halloween Tokens
After completing Maggie's Quest, monsters at the Nightmare Dungeon will now always drop Halloween tokens. These monsters will drop anywhere between 50-125 per kill depending on the monster, however this amount can be enhanced with Halloween trinket. You will now also be able to receive Halloween tokens from general gameplay such as; Task Scrolls, Clue Scrolls, Dailies, Skill tasks and completing Slayer Tasks. 

+ Nightmare Zone Rewards
At the Nightmare zone you'll now be able to progress through zone rewards! You'll be able to obtain a bunch of Halloween soulcages, lots of mystery boxes, shoulder pets, weaponry, equipment and more! This is so intermediate and beginner players can grind out the Halloween event without much RNG!

+ Halloween Emblems
Emblems are a way for players to get more Halloween tokens while grinding out in the Nightmare dungeon. They have a 1% chance to drop from monsters in the area, and will only drop once Maggie's Quest has been completed. Emblems can be cut with chisels to turn in to Halloween tokens. You will be notified by a game message that an emblem has dropped. 

   + Demon totem
     - When broken with a chisel gain 2500-3500 Halloween Tokens.
   + Skull artifact
     - When broken with a chisel gain 2000-2500 Halloween Tokens.
   + Vampire's sigil
     - When broken with a chisel gain 1500-2000 Halloween Tokens.
   + Well kept bones
     - When broken with a chisel gain 1000-1500 Halloween Tokens.
   + Large monster egg
     - When broken with a chisel gain 500-1000 Halloween Tokens.

+ Halloween Adventurer's Log
Some players don't even know adventurer's log exist. Just a reminder to check the log, and claim any rewards you may have missed. We've added a new book called Maggie's Book. This will only be in the log until the event has ended. You can complete Halloween tasks to receive Halloween rewards. They're fairly easy, and you have a total of 7 tasks to complete for some goodies.

If you don't know where it is simply go to Quest Tab > click on "Adventurer's Log"

+ Halloween Rewards
Let's get to the juicy stuff! You'll be able to obtain lots of items to progress in the main content. We've added lots of battle pets, skill pets, weaponry and equipment for the players. Mainly for beginner-mid tier players, but also some high-end gear. Other than that there are consumables and juicy cosmetics!

  + Halloween Consumables
       - Obtainable via Halloween mystery box, world bosses and nightmare monsters.
    + Bowl of pumpkin treats
       - Allows you to feed a pet without the specific food required.
    + Bubbly blue drink
       - Acts as an overload. Consumes 1 sip and disappears after the first. However is stackable.
    + Bubbly red drink
       - Acts as a single aggression potion. Consumes 1 sip and disappears after the first. However is stackable.
    + Caramel candy apple
       - Increases experience gained by +10% for 5 minutes.
    + Eyeball gummies
       - Increases Halloween token gained by +10% for 5 minutes.
    + Wiggly worm cake
       - Increases drop rate by +0.1% for 5 minutes.

       - Slightly faster than the t1 version.

       - 10% chance at hitting twice. Its second hit dealing 50% less damage.

+ Credit Shop Overhaul & Changes
We have taken a look at our credit shop and decided to reduce a lot of the items in price, as well as introduce a new type of credit item called 'boosters'. We have also removed the double donation event, and replaced it with a similar event. Let's go through these changes.

 + Boosters
A new type of item only obtainable via the battle pass and credit shop. They'll help you do your tasks faster, and gain a bit more resources depending on the booster. Let's list the currently available boosters:

   - Battle Pass Experience Booster: Gain 50% extra battle pass XP for 2 tasks.
   - Soulcage booster: Adds +1 additional soul collected to soulcages for 1 hour. (Stacks with friday event)
   - Raid token booster: Gain +1 additional raid tokens for 10 raid completions.
   - Raid reward booster: Roll an extra loot table reward on any type of raid for 10 raid completions.
   - Superior booster: Boosts superior chance by +25% for 1 hour
   - Boss superior booster: Boosts boss superior chance by +25% for 1 hour.
   - Rare drop booster: 10% extra chance to double a rare drop.
   - Skill task booster: Counts skill tasks twice for 1 hour.
   - Skill points booster: Gain 50% extra skill points for 1 hour.
   - Slayer task booster: Counts slayer task kills twice for 1 hour.
   - Slayer points booster: Gain 50% extra slayer points for 1 hour.
   - (Danzig) Artifact booster: 25% increased artifact chance for 1 hour.

You can find them in the "Boosters" category in the credit shop.

 + Credit Shop Changes
   - Heirlooms & Trinkets are now in one category.
   - Added "Halloween" category.
   - Reduced price of weakened fail-safe ticket from 699 to 649 credits.
   - Reduced price of book of undying and vengeful to 2999 credits.
   - Reduced prices of all combat shoulder pets significantly.
   - Reduced prices of all soulcages significantly.
   - Reduced prices of battle pets significantly.
   - Reduced prices of skill pets significantly.
   - Reduced prices of bottomless potions significantly.
   - Reduced prices of bottomless enchants signifcantly.
   - Reduced prices of all raid chests, and mystery boxes.
   - Reduced price of amulet of durzag from 2499 to 1999 credits.
   - Reduced price of rift reset scroll to 99 credits.
   - Reduced price of twisted crystal from 1899 credits to 1599 credits.
   - Reduced price of hellfire and power charge scrolls from 1149 to 999 credits.
   - Reduced price of artifact maul to 1499 credits.
   - Reduced prices of dark matter weaponry to 799 credits.

 + Double Donation Event Changes
Double donation event has been removed. The event had the right idea, but it gave far too much extra credits. Especially with coupon codes you'd be able to double dip which isn't the best.

We've kept the same idea however it is now "50% Bonus Credits Chance". You can learn more on this thread:

 

+ Battle Pass Season 14
Time really does fly! We're already at battle pass season 14! Thank you all for the support ❤️

This season we have a bunch of new rewards such as the new booster items. As well as some skill equipment sprinkled in, and new soulcages! Main reward is the lietrye soulcage, and the superior fail-safe ticket.

However lets not forget the best battle pass set yet! "Prestige soul fighter shaco". We've also implemented some unique interactions with the set. Have a look!

+ Multi Display Icon Support & Yell Changes (NEW CLIENT REQUIRED)
We've wanted to display the player game mode for a while, we eventually decided on showing it off via an icon next to the player name. Like the donator rank. This also means that you can have more than 1 icons next to your name in chats and yell. For example an ironman with a donator rank would show 3 icons (iron, donator and gamemode). It would also display in your yell.

    - Added power and hellfire burst scrolls for 40k points each.

    - Added low-tier event shoulder pets for 450 points each.
    - Added event trinkets for 2.5k points each.
    - Lowered dark matter weaponry points from 16k to 12.5k.

+ Danzig's Hunting Grounds Changes
   - You can now use blowpipes as a weapon to attack monsters in Danzig's hunting grounds.
   - Blowpipes are no longer weaponry that can be used to attack regular monsters.
We went with this change since there's no-one that uses blowpipes. They should now have a use in-game.

+ Slayer Changes
We know slayer is a bit lacking for mid to end game players. We're planning on adding some more content to Slayer in the future, we're still working on a general idea for it. For the time being we have added 2 new bracelets which help you prolong or shorten your slayer tasks.

   + Expeditious bracelet
     - When worn 25% chance for the slayer kill to count twice for task.
     - Cost: 200 Points
   + Slaughter bracelet
     - When worn 25% chance for slayer kill not to count towards task.
     - Cost: 150 Points

+ Completionist Cape & Trimmed Benefits
  + Both Capes
     - When worn, provides a 10% chance of being given the option to pick the previous task when getting a new task from a Slayer Master.
     - Able to teleport to the following spots: Danzig's hunting grounds, Squid Fishing spot, Magma Chest, Raid House.
  + Trimmed
     - Able to toggle the effects of bracelets via cape. You'll no longer need to equip bracelets.

+ Raid Challenges
We're experimenting with the idea of introducing rewards for specific raid level challenges. We're most likely planning on expanding on this in the future with a lot more challenges. We've added 2 new raid challenges (only for undying vengeance raid) which reward you with Nirvana weaponry dye and a King's rune pouch (holds 4 types of runes instead of 3)

    + Raid Level 300 Undying Vengeance Reward
       - One time reward: Thread of kings
       - Use on rune pouch to create a King's pouch. Thread of kings is consumed when doing so.
       - Lvl. 85 crafting and a needle required.
       - Holds 4 types of runes instead of the base 3.

    + Raid Level 400 Undying Vengeance Reward
       - One time reward: Black & yellow dye
       - Use on any Nirvana weapon to turn it in to a black & yellow textured dye.
       - Dye does not get consumed, and can be used infinite amount of times.
       - Dyed weaponry can easily be disassembled without any cost.
       - Dyed weaponry can't be traded or sold in trading post.

+ Undying Vengeance Changes
   - Slightly buffed undying vengeance rarest drop table.
   - Lowered amount of undying vengeance raid tokens required for chest from 100 to 75.
   - Removed nex and elite pieces from the collection log.

+ Soulcage Changes
   - Added faceless cape to the faceless soulcage.
   - Lowered lietrye soulcage KC requirement from 200 to 150.
   - Lowered argus soulcage KC requirement from 150 to 100.

+ Task Scroll Changes
  - Removed drop catcher from the elite task scroll reward list.
  - Added ragnos backpack to elite task scroll reward list.

+ GIM Bankers
Right click > GIM-Bank
  - Added a GIM banker to the iron house.
  - Added a GIM banker to dzone, master zone and eternal zone.

+ Friendschat
  - You will now be kicked from the friendschat if you are interacting with afk objects for more than 3 minutes.

+ AFK Zone Changes
AFK zone should be a way to passively earn some money, but not the main way.
  - Reduced rate of receiving exorian fragments by 2 ticks.
  - Reduced item value of exorian fragments from 100k to 75k.

+ Changes
   - Fixed up the timer sprites from being too zoomed in and off.
   - Lowered time required to receive uncut gems when cutting gem trees.
   - Brimstone chest will now announce rare loots.
   - Increased item value of dravonic keys to 100k.
   - Moved exorian nightmare to a different location in the wilderness.
   - Added wilderness teleports for tormented beasts and ebonchill dragons on the ring of slaying.
