Update Log #37 (Summer Event 2023, Trading Post QOL, Cape Extraction, Battle Pass Season 12, Vote Shop Changes & MORE!)

Greetings Exorians,

As always, thank you all for playing Exora! We appreciate the support and feedback. We've implemented some changes you guys have been asking for, fixed a bunch of issues and finally the long awaited summer event!

Now, let's get to the update!

 + Summer Event 2023

With this event we've added a new global event that happens every hour which provides drops and temporary character benefits. We also added a new event outside of the Summer event, you can now gain temporary character benefits randomly when killing monsters. We've also added a new skilling world boss for only events! And lastly, there are now zone rewards in the Summer events, which will guarantee you a few Summer soulcages!

Not only that, but we wanted to give new and mid tier players a way to obtain better upgrades, and even 3 new shoulder pets. You can now get a weaponry up to T4.

End date: 25th of July

  + Party Pete's Quest
To start with the summer event; speak to party pete at the beach. Global teleports > General > Beach (or ::beach/::summer). Help party pete defend his beach, by killing the fish around the Beach. 

This quest will reward you with the ability to obtain summer tokens from the fish around the beach, and a summer mystery box. This quest is a daily, which can be completed every day for a summer mystery box.

 + Giant Summer Snapper
With the Summer event comes a new World Boss. It will only be available during the summer event. The events tab shows when the snapper will spawn. It drops all of the Summer event items. Once killed the snapper will drop lots of candies for the players to collect! It may also be spawned with the world boss token. To teleport to the giant summer snapper use the command ::snapper or teleport via the events tab.

 + Giant Blubbery Snapper
With the Summer event comes a new World Boss. It will only be available during the summer event. The events tab shows when the snapper will spawn. It drops all of the Summer event items. Once killed the snapper will drop lots of candies for the players to collect! It may also be spawned with the world boss token. To teleport to the giant blubbery snapper use the command ::blubber or teleport via the events tab.

 + Summer Zygomite
A new Skilling World Boss! It will only be available during the summer event. You can only attack it with skilling weaponry and pets. It may also be spawned with the world boss token. To teleport to the summer zygomite use the command ::zygomite or teleport via the events tab.

+ Rubber Duck Hunt
Once you complete the Party Pete Quest you'll receive a duck locator. This is an important item to help you locate the Rubber Duck. In order to find the Rubber Duck use your locator. At first, the locator will give out very vague hints, every 15 minutes the hints get increasingly easier and eventually if it hasn't been caught it will straight out tell you where it is. Only the first 5 players are able to receive its rewards and benefits, so be quick!

When you find the Rubber Duck, simply click it to catch it. You'll be rewarded with items, coins and a 30 minute temporary character benefit. Which gives the following:
 - +1% increased drop rate
 - +25% increased XP rate

The rubber duck will appear every hour. To find out when it spawns simply head over to your events tab!

+ Water Balloon Splash
While killing monsters there's a low chance to receive tomporary character benefits. You'll roll either the increased drop rate or XP rate. They're the same as the rubber duck benefits, so these 2 benefits will not stack. However if you happen to get another buff, while your timer is still active it will refresh it.

+ Summer Tokens
After completing Pete's Quest, monsters at the Beach will now always drop Summer tokens. The amount of summer tokens that can drop can be enhanced with the summer trinket. You will now also be able to receive Summer tokens from general gameplay such as; Task Scrolls, Clue Scrolls, Dailies, Skill Tasks, and completing Slayer Tasks. 

Tokens can be spent in Party Pete's shop. He stands at home, patiently awaiting Exorians.

+ Beach Zone Rewards
At the Beach you'll now be able to progress through zone rewards! You'll be able to obtain a bunch of Summer soulcages, lots of mystery boxes, shoulder pets, weaponry, equipment and more! This is so intermediate and beginner players can grind out the Summer event without much RNG!

 + Summer Emblems
Emblems are a way for players to get more Summer tokens while grinding out at the Beach. They have a 1% chance to drop from monsters in the area, and will only drop once Party Pete's quest is completed. Emblems can be cut with chisels to turn in to Summer tokens. You will be notified by game message that an emblem has dropped.

  + World Essence
     - When broken with a chisel gain 2500-3500 Summer Tokens.
  + Sun Smoldered Prism
     - When broken with a chisel gain 2000-2500 Summer Tokens.
  + Solar Shard
     - When broken with a chisel gain 1500-1500 Summer Tokens.
  + Crystal Flower
     - When broken with a chisel gain 500-1500 Summer Tokens.

 + Summer Adventurer's Log
Just a reminder to check the log, and claim any rewards you may have missed. We've added a new book called Party Pete's Book. This will only be in the log until the event has ended. Meanwhile, you can complete Summer tasks to receive Summer rewards. They're fairly easy, and you have a total of 5 tasks to complete for some goodies.

If you don't know where it is simply go to Quest Tab > click on "Adventurer's Log"

 + Summer Rewards
Let's get to the juicy stuff! You'll be able to obtain lots of items to progress in the main content. We've added lots of battle pets, weaponry and equipment for the players. Mainly for beginner-mid tier players, but also some high-end gear. Other than that there are consumables and juicy cosmetics!

 + Summer Consumables
Obtainable from the Summer Mystery Box, Pete's Shop, World Boss and the credit shop. All summer consumables are stackable.
    + Pineapple
       - Allows you to feed a pet without the specific food required. (up to lvl. 45)
    + Redbull
       - Acts as a single dose overload.
    + Ice Cream
       - Increases XP Rate by +10%
    + Orange Slices
       -  Increases Summer tokens gained by +10%.
    + Watermelon Slice
       - Increases drop rate by 0.10%.
    + Gin Tonic
       -  Acts as a single aggression pot.

       - Slightly faster than a rapier.
    + Solar Rapier (t2)
       - Slightly faster than the t1 version.
       - 5% chance at hitting twice. Its second hit dealing 50% less damage.

       - Fast hitting rapier.
       - 10% chance at hitting twice. Its second hit dealing 50% less damage.

       - Fast hitting rapier.
       - 15% chance at hitting twice. Its second hit dealing 50% less damage.

       - Allows bolts up to toxic bolts.

+ Trading Post Changes
We heard your suggestions regarding trading post buy offers. You can now view the list of current buy offers, and also easily fill the buy offer with one click. So you wont have to back out and list it yourself!

   - You'll be able to view buy offers.
   - You can easily sell the item if you see a buy offer. It'll automatically set the price to the buy offer, so you wont have to worry typing out the price   yourself. Quantity is set by the player when clicking sell.
   - In order to fill an order, you must have the item in your inventory, as seen below.
   - You can search a players' buy offer list, to make it easier.
   - Also fixed that one issue with spaces in names when searching for a player in trading post!

 

+ Danzig's Hunting Grounds Changes & Additions
We're glad you're enjoying the new hunting grounds! The plan is always adding more on top of existing content, the current hunting grounds is pretty much the start of a lot more skilling related content! We've added a few new things.

   + Danzig's Book I
     - A new adventurer's log book.
     - 4 tasks to complete.
     - Has permanent bonuses such as increased artifact rate and bonus experience
   + Danzig's Artifact Prestige Ability
     - A new prestige ability, costing 9 points. Increases your artifact rate by +1%.
   + Danzig's Booster (tr)
     - A new trinket which boosts the rate at which you find artifacts by +5%
     - Obtainable from Danzig's shop or Credit Shop.
+ Brimstone Bear Changes
These changes have already been live for a few days, but for the sake of clarity this is what was changed.
   - When damaging the Brimstone bear with at least 6 (previously 15) tiger rockfish, you gain a higher chance to receive a rare drop.
   - Prayer reflect will no longer damage the Brimstone bear.

+ Cape Extraction Scroll
We've heard your suggestions! You can now extract valuable capes from infused completionist and trimmed capes. The scroll will be consumed once used. Scroll can be obtained from the Vote shop or the credit shop.

+ Battle Pass Season 12
Ahh! It's that time again. Time really does fly! For this season we have a Caesar themed custom set, and lots of new goodies within the battle pass.
We also have the return of the Lietrye soulcage, with a superior fail-safe ticket as a free reward. Not only that, but the last level will give you a Polychrome spinner pet!

+ Soulcage Mystery Box
A new mystery box! This one is filled with soulcages up to the highest tier. It can be obtained from the Vote shop and Credit shop.

+ Vote Shop
We've heard your suggestions regarding vote shop. I feel the vote shop was already decent as is, it has a decent amount of unique items, and high end sought after items such as the titan master's hammer. But it didn't feel very complete. So we've added a few more items to make it a bit more worth it to vote! Note that these are not the last changes we'll do to vote shop. We're most likely adding more depending on feedback, so do keep them coming! reward if you DM me

   - Significantly lowered the prices of soulcages.
   - Added infernal hatchet & pickaxe for 60 vote points.
   - Added gemstone hatchet for 40 vote points.
   - Added captains harpoon for 50 vote points.
   - Added Marble dravonic cosmetic set,
   - Added rift reset scroll for 32 vote points.
   - Added prestige relock scroll for 75 vote points
   - Added task reset scroll for 9 vote points
   - Added rune pouch for 200 vote points
   - Added soulcage mystery box for 95 vote points.

+ Akdall's Logs
  - You can now burn akdall logs at lvl. 92 firemaking.

+ Achievements
  - Added burn akdall logs elite achievement.
  - Added defeat monsters in Danzig's hunting grounds achievements from easy to elite. (Medium reward gives you dragon pickaxe/hatchet set)

+ Skillmaster Durzag Tasks
  - Added burn akdall logs tasks for hard and master.

+ Completionist & Trimmed Changes
We've added a few new tasks, mostly related to the new Danzig Hunting Grounds.

  + Completionist Cape
     - Defeat x1000 of each skilling monster type.
  + Trimmed Cape 
     - Burn x500 Akdall's logs
     - Use x250 Danzig's artifacts.

+ Wiki Search
You can now search for specific details within our wiki via the wiki command. This means if you're looking for a specific item, you can type ::wiki scoria and it will open up a search page with results that have 'scoria' in the page.

+ Set XP and Level Target Skill Tab
You can now set a target in your skilling tab for either experience or level. This way you can track your skill progress easily!

+ Presets More Slots
We've increased the amount of preset slots for all ranks by +1.

+ Credit Shop
  - Added the summer category in the credit shop, which contains limited items such as Golden Zygomite and Rubber Duck.
  - Added soulcage mystery box to the general category.
  - Added Cape extraction scroll to the misc. category.
  - Added Danzig's booster (tr) to the trinket category.

+ Changes
  - Increased the amount of crystallised gems required to forge skill rings and armor.
  - Danzig's artifact is now a stackable item. Making it much easier to convert to clue scrolls.
  - Book of exora, strength, wealth and wisdom are now stackable.
  - Increased the drop rate of amulet of durzag significantly. (safe box)
  - Slightly increased the rate of alchemizer parts from safe boxes.
  - Boss task daily task reward has been changed from slayer mystery box to Hanto's mystery box.
  - Added artifact maul to the sacrifice list for 30K points.

+ Fixes
  - Fixed an issue with eclipse cape not picking up arrows.
  - Fixed an issue with the wildwood mystery box not containing the armour pieces.
  - Fixed an issue with trading post search by username, not properly working when there's a space in the name.
  - Fixed an issue with amulet of durzag sometimes not banking thieving materials.
