Update Log #28 (Undying Vengeance Raid, Titan Forge Additions, Battle Pass Season 8 & ALOT MORE!)

Greetings Exorians,

First, we'd like to thank the entire Exora community for supporting us. We really appreciate it! Keep the suggestions coming, we're always open to feedback. Thank you again, hope you guys will enjoy this sexy ass update!

It's finally time for our long awaited raids update! We've been hard at work at it, and have made sure it'll be fun and rewarding. With a new raid of course comes new juicy equipment and other spicy items. We decided to release the raids first, and have the Halloween event around a week after. But let's get right in to the update. It's gonna be a long one, so grab yourself some coffee.

 

We've made some changes to coupon codes. It is an important read if you've used them before:

 

+ Undying Vengeance Raid (UV)

The UV raid is the hardest content we've created since release. Instead of killing one boss, and proceeding to the rewards you'll now have to defeat 2 massive, mechanical bosses. While also having to cross via agility, make use of tinderboxes and torches. The UV raid is completely scaled based on group size. Which is generally not what we've done with the previous raids. However this time any mechanic is scaled. The amount of players matters, so a group size of 3 will not be the same as the group size of 4.

Now we'll explain how the raid works in broad terms, especially wipe mechanics and misc. mechanics.

Requirements: x50 Faceless Completed and a Tinderbox
Lives: 2

NOTE: A lot of other mechanics have been left out, as to not spoil the complete raid.

+ Guide:

- Speak to the Undying King at the Raid house. There you can make a group, and start the raid. You must bring a tinderbox with you though, so don't forget that.
 - Once loaded in the raid, you'll see a torch on the floor. Every player in the group must pick-up the torch. Without it, you can hardly complete the raid.

 - When your group enters via the barrier, the screen will go black. And the Undying king will spawn minions that'll walk towards the king. Every player must use their tinderbox on the torch in order to light up the room again.
 - Every minion that reaches the undying king, will increase the king's damage, however there are stronger minions that will increase the damage more. Once the undying king has a certain % increased damage, the raid will wipe. If the group wipes at the first phase, you may try again without resetting, however if you wipe at any other point of the raid, the raid will end.
- There are a lot more mechanics while fighting the Undying King, so we shall not spoil them! You'll know the important things to keep from wiping.

- Undying King Defeated
- The barrier to continue has opened, go through the path and up the staircase. While walking from the undying king room to the next room, there are monsters that are not targetable,  they deal magic and ranged damage. For each passage way there are 4 of such monsters.

- Once up the stairs, you'll see a room with stepping stones where you'll encounter the vengeful king and its minions. You must cross the stepping stones in order to go to the next room. However while crossing the stepping stones, the vengeful king will attack you. The vengeful king sends out curses, if stepped on those curses the group will wipe. Note: The amount of curses to wipe the raid, scales based on group size.

- Once your group has crossed the stepping stone, the vengeful king tells you it awaits for you in the next room.
- In front of the vengeful king's room, you'll see 2 explosive tables. It is necessary to grab a few bombs. You'll need it in the raid.

- Once the group enters the room, vengeful king will spawn 4 vengeful cannons on each side of the room. They will be there throughout the raid. They deal damage to whoever is closest to the cannon. The group must destroy these cannons. You can do so by using a torch on the massive bomb. The closer you are to the cannon, the higher the damage your bomb will do.

- The vengeful king will call upon its minions. For each minion that reaches the king, cannons will do increased damage and get healed. The stronger minion that reaches, gives increase damage and heals more than the regular one.
- At some point in the raid the vengeful kill will fly back to the stepping stone area. The group must attack the vengeful king there.

- In order to attack the vengeful king in the stepping stone area you must be standing on a stepping stone. However, it can not be too far. In this phase, only magic and range are possible.

- Once that phase is done, the vengeful king will return back to its room. Once back in the room the cannons will now target the vengeful king. Each cannonball that hits the vengeful king will heal the king. The amount it heals is based on group size.

- Vengeful king defeated! You can now cross the barrier and open the chest to take your reward!
- You may see a very big demon over your chest..if you see tha t demon on your chest, you're in luck! You've received a drop from the rarest table.

+ Undying Vengeance Rewards
With this raid we wanted to add in new mechanics in terms of rewards, and items that'll allow you to go beyond what certain content currently offers. Let's get to it. It'll be a lot to take in.

  + Equipment
    + Vengeful King Set
       - Ranged equipment set, containing head, body, legs. (gloves & boots cosmetic)
       - Boosts drop rate against multi-bosses by +0.50%

    + Vengeful Cape
       - Ranged cape
       - 5% chance to curse a target reducing its ranged defense by 25% for 15 seconds. (non-stackable)
       - May be infused with completionist, trimmed capes.
    + Undying King Set
       - Melee equipment set, containing head, body and legs. (gloves & boots cosmetic)
       - Boosts drop rate against bloodchiller, warmonger and earthbreaker by +1%

    + Undying Cape
       - Melee cape
       - 5% chance to curse a target reducing its melee defense by 25% for 15 seconds. (non-stackable)
       - May be infused with completionist, trimmed capes.
    + Faceless Cape
       - Magic cape
       - 5% chance to curse a target reducing its magic defense by 25% for 15 seconds. (non-stackable)
       - May be infused with completionist, trimmed capes.
       - Obtained from the Faceless King's Raid.

    + Vengeful Hand Cannon
       - Two-handed ranged weapon, fast attacks.
       - May only use hellside cannonballs.
       - 100% chance to double hit, its second hit dealing 50% less damage.
       - Deals AoE damage up to 5x5 radius only in multi-zones with a cap of 4 monsters.
       - Deals 25% increased damage against vengeful king.
       - Special: 85% - Reduce overall defense of your target by 25% for 10 seconds.

    + Undying Greatsword
       - Two-handed melee weapon, fast attacks.
       - 100% chance to double hit, its second hit dealing 50% less damage.
       - Deals AoE damage up to 4x4 radius only in multi-zones with a cap of 4 monsters.
       - Deals 25% increased damage against undying king.
       - Special: 85% - Reduce overall defense of your target by 25% for 10 seconds.

    + Undying broken shortsword
       - Fast Attacks. Has a 15% chance at hitting twice. Its second hit dealing 50% less damage.
    + Undying F* & Vengeful F*
       - Increases drop rate by +3%
       - Heals 175 to 200 HP
       - Restore prayer threshold 875.
       - Loops every 7 seconds.
       - Stronger than Argus stat wise.

  + Misc
    + Book of Vengeance
       - Allows you to upgrade elemental level 1 to level 2.
       - Note: In order to upgrade a second elemental you must read this book again. One time use only.
    + Elemental Lvl 2.
       - Heals 1.50% health every 2.50 seconds.
       - Increases drop rate by 3%
       - Greatly boosts attack and strength bonuses.
       - Requirements: x25000 elemental dusts, Elemental Lvl 1.
    + Book of Undying
       - Increases the maximum prestige cap by +5.
    + Undying Heart
       - Boosts your melee strength by +20 for 5 minutes.
    + Vengeful Heart
       - Boosts your ranged strength by +20 for 5 minutes.
    + Enchantment of the Kings
       - Increases damage against Vengeful, Faceless and Undying king by 15%.
    + Undying Shard
       - A shard that is able to bring out the power from the lightbringer's sigil.
       - Can be used as a material at the Titan Forge.
    + Vengeful Shard
       - A shard that is able to bring out the power from the cauldron of venom sigil.
       - Can be used as a material at the Titan Forge.
    + Hellbringer's sigil trinket
       - 20% chance while in combat, if the target is below 50% HP to call down a hell strike dealing 200-400 damage. (No cooldown)

    + Venomous Vengeance trinket
       - 10% chance while in combat to poison the target with DoT effect, dealing up to 600 damage. (30 seconds cooldown)

+ Titan Forge Additions
   + Elemental F*
      - Increases drop rate by +3.5%
      - Heals 200-225 HP and Restores 150-200 prayer every 5 seconds.
      - Greatly increased attack, strength bonuses.
      - Materials: Undying F*, Vengeful F*, Faceless F*, Argus F*, Lietrye F*, Hellcat F*, Golem F*, Snail F*, x250 superior Essence.
      - Success: 5%

   + Heart of Dark Magic
      - Increased magic, melee and ranged strength by +25 for 5 minutes.
      - Materials: Faceless heart, undying heart, vengeful heart, x2 twilight shard, x2 undying shard, x2 vengeful shard, x75 superior essence.
      - Success: 100%
   + Faceless Tome
     
- Renamed faceless tome to twilight tome.
     - Twilight tome now requires: x1 demonic book, x4 twilight shards, x25 titanite shards, x15 superior essence

+ Battle Pass Season 8
Oh boy! It's that time again. We've done some changes to the season 8 pass in terms of rewards. We've slightly scaled back on free rewards. However it should still be very much worth it. Especially with Lietrye soulcage contained in it! As always, with each battle pass you'll receive a full unique custom set! This one is vampire themed.

- Added a new battle pass task: Open blurite chests.
- Added a new battle pass task: Successfully crack safe boxes.

+ Superiors
  - Added dark matter superior. You can see a list of superiors here: https://exora-rsps.fandom.com/wiki/Superiors

+ Smithing Changes

  + Jewelry Smithing
You can purchase jewelry moulds from the smithing shop. Speak to the smithing npc at skill zone to access his shop. Use the gold bar on the furnace to open the interface. In order to craft something you require a cut gem, a mould and a gold bar.

Specifically for unstrung amulets, you'll have to bring a ball of whool, and use the unstrung amulet on the spinning object. After you've done that use an enchantment spell from the moderns book to create the final version of the item.

  + Hellside cannonballs
You can now create hellside cannonballs by using a hellside bar on the smithing furnace. You must have an ammo mould in your inventory to create it. For each hellside bar you receive 15 hellside cannonballs.

+ Item Balance
  - Increased ranged attack and strength bonus of dark matter bow.
  - Increased ranged attack and strength bonus of orthite bow.
  - Increased ranged attack and strength bonus of scoria bow.
  - Increased ranged attack and strength bonus of goliath bow.
  - Slightly reduced twilight crossbow ranged attack bonus.
  - Lowered the attack bonuses of all shoulder pets
  - Lowered the drop rate of hellcat from 1.75% to 1.5%
  - Lowered the drop rate of snail from 0.75% to 0.5%
  - Lowered the prices of shoulder pets in Exo shop.
  - Lowered the magic attack bonuses on demonic book.
  - Lowered the magic attack bonuses on twilight tome.
  - Reduced the strength bonuses of elemental lvl 1.
  - Shoulder pets will no longer require defence requirements.

+ Prayer Damage Reduction

Fixed an issue with protect prayers providing 100% damage reduction from regular monsters and some bosses, while it should only 50% damage reduction. 

We're making it so damage reduction from bosses and monsters will be 80%. We'll closely monitor this, as this is a huge change in terms of defenses. We'll likely reduce this to 50% eventually.

+ Completionst Cape
  - Added a new completionist cape requirement: complete x50 undying vengeance raids.
  - Added new completionist/trimmed infusion capes: undying, faceless and vengeful capes.

+ Sacrifice Pool
  - Added Vengeful boots and gloves to the sacrifice list for: 750
  - Added Undying boots and gloves to the sacrifice list for: 750
  - Undying broken shortsword added to the sacrifice list for: 1500

+ Transmogs
  - Added all new items to the transmogrifier list.
  - Added elite black set to the transmogrifier list.

+ Hitmark Icons
  - Added twilight devastation trinket hitmark icon.
  - Added lightbringer sigil trinket hitmark icon.
  - Added hellbringer trinket hitmark icon.
  - Added venomous cauldron trinket hitmark icon.

+ Changes
  - Slightly reduced the drop rate of lietrye rarest drop table, as it is dropping too much currently.
  - Book of dark secrets will no longer apply 1% drop rate on specific weapons. It will now apply to your character.
  - Reduced the prices of underwater equipment in the Pirate's shop.
  - Increased the rune pouch limit to 256k per rune.
  - You will now get noted akdall's essence from safe boxes.
  - Temporarily moved Exorian Nightmare to the Wilderness. Accessed via global teleports > bosses > exorian nightmare.
  - Changed the inventory look of bottomless overload and renewal potion.

+ Fixes
  - Fixed an issue with Khaashee dragon not properly attacking players while in combat.
  - Fixed an issue with Wind Rush lvl. 1 magic spell not working properly.
  - Fixed an issue with raid party manager not showing the right killcount.

+ Misc.
  - Added undying vengeance Soulcage: Complete x50 Undying Vengeance Raids.
  - Added undying vengeance raid tokens. Obtain 1 token for each raid completed.
  - Added undying vengeance raid chest. 100 UV tokens creates this chest.

+ Credit Shop
- Lowered the price of all combat shoulder pets.
- Lowered the price of all yellow shoulder pets.
- Added undying vengeance soulcage to the credit shop for 5999 credits.
- Added book of undying to the credit shop for 4499 credits.
- Added book of vengeful to the credit shop for 4499 credits.
- Added undying, vengeful shoulder pets to the credit shop for 5599 credits.
